A man died from burns suffered when a house in Stafford exploded and then caught fire on Tuesday, Oct 31, 2023.A man burned in a house explosion Tuesday morning in Stafford Township has died, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office announced Tuesday evening. The incident was caused by a propane tank.for report of an explosion that developed into a house fire. They found Thomas on the front lawn with severe burns to his upper torso. Police also evacuated other homse in the area as a precaution.
Thomas was airlifted to the Temple Burn Center in Philadelphia and later succumbed to his injuries, according to the prosecutor’s office. Authorities determined that the fire originated from underneath a bedroom and involved the release of propane that met an open flame. A prosecutor’s spokesman did not immediately respond to further questions about the propane tank.
