Teodulo Habana, 64, is also charged with weapons offenses in the death of 20-year-old Lissi Rodriguez-Sanchez. Police found Rodriguez-Sanchez and Habana both suffering from stab wounds at their home on Juliet Street at 9:12 a.m., according to the office’s announcement.
Detectives say Habana stabbed his stepdaughter and himself. (An earlier news release from prosecutors said that the incident was a shooting.) Rodriguez-Sanchez was pronounced dead on the scene and Habana was brought to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital to be treated for injuries considered serious, officials said.
