Lil Rel Howery Talks Joining The PAW Patrol Family In The Mighty Movie BTS Clip [EXCLUSIVE]

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT After its successful box office run, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie is coming to home platforms, and an exclusive clip introduces one of its new cast members.

In honor of the movie’s digital release, Screen Rant is proud to present an exclusive PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie clip. The video, as seen above, offers a behind-the-scenes look at one of the movie’s new characters, reporter Sam Stringer, paired with an interview of star Lil Rel Howery. The comedian opens up about his joys in joining the family-friendly franchise and his love of voice work in general.

Lil Rel Howery Has Quietly Become A Family-Friendly Star Though having first risen to stardom with the NBC sitcom The Carmichael Show and Jordan Peele’s breakout horror movie Get Out, Howery has quietly been building an expansive resume with a number of family-friendly projects.

One of the more notable was that of his turn as Buddy in the Ryan Reynolds-led comedy Free Guy. Though it could be argued the movie was made for a more adult audience considering its lead star, the humor was largely praised for its more innocent approach to its PG-13 rating, with Buddy and Guy being two of the biggest figures to stay on the lighter side of things even as the stakes rose for their characters and video game world.

Howery’s family-friendly work isn’t stopping with PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie either. This year will see him reunite with the sequel’s studio Paramount for the long-awaited Good Burger 2, as well as the Disney+ comedy Dashing Through the Snow as a twist on Santa Claus, and Sony’s live-action adaptation of Harold and the Purple Crayon set for an August 2024 release.
