Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Jennifer Lawrence’s potential return to The Hunger Games has certain conditions. Lawrence played heroine Katniss Everdeen in the four Hunger Games movies, which were based on the young adult novel trilogy of the same name by Suzanne Collins.
Yahoo! Entertainment sat down with The Hunger Games franchise producer Nina Jacobson (who has worked on all five movies) and director Francis Lawrence (who has helmed every movie since the second, Catching Fire) in anticipation of the prequel The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. When asked if Lawrence could return in the future, Jacobson said “I think that Suzanne feels that her story is complete,” and they’d only make a movie if she wrote a book.
Nina Jacobson: If Suzanne has something to say, then she’ll write a book about it.Honestly, as much as I love Katniss, I think her story is complete. And I think that Suzanne feels that her story is complete. But if that changes, and Suzanne has something she wants to say, and it involves Katniss, then I would be thrilled. But really any chance to be back in this world, and lead with Francis and Suzanne, I would take regardless of who it was about. headtopics.com
