MARKETS Wall Street’s major indexes blew hot and cold on Tuesday but ultimately climbed the wall of worry. to finish in the green as the short-covering rally rolled on.

Admittedly, savings reserves are dwindling, and there are many concerns to fret over, like the dysfunction in DC, lingering inflation concerns and the long shadow of war. However, as long as businesses continue to hire, demand remains robust, with the resilient labour market playing a significant role. Until a disruptor emerges to break this self-sustaining cycle, it might be more enlightening to observe consumers’ actions rather than heeding their words.
